Step Into the Wild and learn to live comfortably in nature.

Young people 18 – 22 years old, FREE! Limited places

Join us on this mini expedition into wilderness, hiking into the countryside to create a basecamp in the woods. You’ll learn about wildlife, woodland living skills and also about yourself.

Enjoy time around the fire with other young people to talk and listen to each other, reflecting on issues important to you.

  • develop self awareness and interpersonal skills
  • increase resilience and sense of belonging

The expedition takes place in stunning countryside without leaving the capital, within the borough of Croydon. Our hike will be approximately 6 miles.

The programme is facilitated by Wild in the City’s Nature Guides (Beth, Jess and Mike); nature based practitioners with experience in walk leadership, bushcraft, counselling and/or therapeutic reflection.

Once you’ve booked, one of the Nature Guides will be in touch for a quick chat to ensure the course is suitable for you.

You’ll need to bring;

  • sturdy footwear
  • clothing suitable for the weather
  • packed lunch
  • bottle of water (1 ltr)
  • any personal medication (eg asthma inhaler, epi-pen)
