Weather and cancellations

The training will run whatever the weather except heavy rain, high winds and storms in

which case a decision will be made as to whether the course is rescheduled or can be held

using an indoor venue. You will be contacted by 8am on the day of the course in the case

of rescheduling or an alternative venue. If we cancel the course for any reason you will be

entitled to a full refund.

Course fees are non refundable. However if you are unable to attend an event you have

already paid for, your place can be transferred to someone else providing the course is

suitable for them. If there is a waiting list for the course and we can fill your place you are

welcome to transfer onto another course (at the same price or pay the difference) if there

is a vacancy. Transfers must be taken within 6 months.

Clothing and welfare

We will spend all day immersed in an outdoor setting, nature and all that she brings will be part of our training experience.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and to be comfortable throughout the day.

The park has some wetland areas which can be boggy in places. I suggest sturdy waterproof footwear and to bring waterproof clothing with you.

There are public toilets on site, these maybe a 10 minute walk from our base camp.

The day will involve some walking, but not for great lengths of time.

Please inform us of medical conditions or allergies you wish us to know about which may be relevant to your participation in outdoor activities.

Food

Please bring a packed lunch and water with you, there are no shops within quick walking distance. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day.

Safety

We cannot take responsibility for any property, which is lost or damaged during the training.

In booking you accept all risks in participating in the training. We agree to take responsible for our own safety in the park. Some activities may include the use of tools such as mallets, knives, flint and steels facilitators will give instruction on how to use them safely. The training may involve activities using natural materials such as nettles, sticks, mud and rocks. You may come into contact with biting insects, bring any precautions such as insect repellent.

Wild in the City! would like to take photographs of the day for future use in promoting the course. Please inform us on the day if you do not wish to be photographed.
