Description
Sunday 2nd February 2025
Join us for a walk through the Kent countryside and let nature surprise you as she prepares for spring. We will be hiking thorough Beechen Wood. This enchanting forest is nestled within the ‘High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’ The wood is also home to an abundance of bird species, including woodpeckers, thrush, and warblers. We will also be entering Lullingstone Country Park which is internationally important for its collection of ancient trees, with over 300 veteran oak, beech, ash, hornbeam and sweet chestnut, some of which are thought to be 800 years old.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and conditions including above-the-ankle mud in places, and wear sturdy footwear. We recommend bringing a 1ltr of water and a packed lunch with you. Hilly in parts.
Cost: £5
