Join us on a late-summer hike across the Bedfordshire escarpment (a giant natural step in the countryside), contemplating harvest bounty and the coming Autumn Equinox a seasonal threshold when day and night will be equal in length. We’ll follow the footsteps of preacher John Bunyan along chalk ridges, ancient beech woods, and golden fields, tracing the hills that inspired his most famous work The Pilgrim’s Progress. What balance of light and dark will we find along this historic path?

Please dress appropriately and wear sturdy footwear; this hilly route requires good fitness. Bring 1-2L of water and a packed lunch. We aim to have a pub stop half way through but plans are subject to change.
