This circular hike is 4 hours plus a 30 mins rest stop at an historical country pub.
We’ll be making our way along part of the Greensand Ridge with its views to the Weald and then on to Limpsfield Chart. This common is part of an ancient heath and wooded landscape managed by the National Trust and contains a restored WWII air raid shelter. Home to songthrush, roe deer, and even lizards, we might even spot rare hoverflies.
Midway, we’ll have a short rest stop for a hot drink at a pub then make our way back to Hurst Green.
This walk is hilly in parts and therefore good mobility and fitness is necessary.
We recommend bringing lunch and 1ltr of water with you.
Please wear sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes) and dress appropriately for the weather.
Time: 10.30am – 3.00pm (times are approximate, we strongly suggest not making arrangements close to the end time)
Distance: This is a 7 mile/10km (approx.) hike
