Celebrate Ancient Trees with WitC

May 5

Ancient Trees

Celebrating People of Colour in Nature

Ancient trees have a unique majesty. Some standing as long as stone circles, they are witnesses to several millennia of human history and are amongst the eldest living entities on the planet. Wise through experience and themselves an ecosystem, they host incredible communities of species living on and around them.

Join us for a special programme to celebrate Ancient Trees – learn how trees are classified as ancient or veteran and how to age different tree species, understand the ecosystems they support, and explore what their presence evokes in you emotionally, imagining the stories they have to tell as we uncover their historical significance in the landscape.
