October is Black Natural History Month!
Telling the story of our presence in and relationship with nature
During October Wild in the City celebrates Black Natural History Month!
Black Natural History Month (BNHM) makes the contributions of Black people to natural history part of the celebration of our history in the UK. From our presence in the countryside and our relationship with nature to Black naturalists and outdoor practitioners, and Black-led organisations, we want our engagement with nature to be part of the conversation in commemorating Black history.
Our aim is simple – to inspire Black communities to adventure and enjoy the natural world.
