Weather and cancellations
The workshop will run whatever the weather except high winds and storms, in which case a decision will be made as to whether the workshop is rescheduled. You will be contacted at least an hour an a half before the workshop start time. If we cancel the course for any reason you will be entitled to a full refund.
Workshop fees are non refundable. However if you are unable to attend an event you have already paid for, your place can be transferred to someone else providing the course is suitable for them. If there is a waiting list for the course and we can fill your place you are welcome to transfer onto another course (at the same price or pay the difference) if there is a vacancy. Transfers must be taken within 6 months.
Clothing and welfare
We will spend the event immersed in an outdoor setting, nature and all that she brings will be part of our experience.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and to be comfortable throughout the event.
The park has some wetland areas which can be boggy in places. I suggest sturdy waterproof footwear and to bring waterproof clothing with you.
There are public toilets on site, these maybe a 10 minute walk from our base camp.
The event will involve some walking, but not for great lengths of time.
Medical
Please inform us of medical conditions or allergies you wish us to know about which may be relevant to your participation in outdoor activities.
Safety
We cannot take responsibility for any property, which is lost or damaged during the training.
In booking you accept all risks in participating in the workshop. We agree to take responsible for our own safety in the park. Some activities may include the use of tools such as mallets, knives, flint and steels facilitators will give instruction on how to use them safely. The training may involve activities using natural materials such as nettles, sticks, mud and rocks. You may come into contact with biting insects, bring any precautions such as insect repellent.
Photography
Wild in the City! would like to take photographs of the day for future use in promoting the course. Please inform us on the day if you do not wish to be photographed.
