Our Family event is being held outside in South Norwood Country Park, London, SE25 4NF. 

Venue and meeting point

South Norwood Country Park is a 125 acre nature reserve, it has a mix of habitats including meadows, wetland, a lake and some copses. It is home to an array of wildlife including kestral, fox and pheasant.

Our meeting point is outside the visitor centre. The Visitor Centre is just our meeting point, we will then walk further into the park together, the event will be held in a base camp setting and will involve walks throughout the park.

If you are delayed in arriving, contact us by phone (07906 832 952) so we can endeavor to have someone meet you.

Clothing and welfare

The event will be held entirely outdoors. We will meet whatever the weather except storms and high winds, nature and all that she brings will be part of the experiencePlease dress appropriately for the weather and to be comfortable throughout the day. We suggest bringing waterproof clothing with you.

The park has some wetland areas which can be boggy in places after rain. If it has recently rained we suggest sturdy waterproof footwear.

Medical

Please inform us (info@wildinthecity.org.uk) of medical conditions or allergies you wish us to know about which may be relevant to individuals booked under this ticket and their participation in outdoor activities.

Property

Wild in the City! cannot take responsibility for any property, which is lost or damaged during the event.

Photography

Wild in the City! would like to take photographs and video of the day for use online and in printed materials. Please inform us on the day if you do not wish individuals booked under this ticket to be filmed or photographed.

Safety

Parents/Guardians are responsible for the safety and well-being of children attending with them during the event. Some activities may include the use of tools such as mallets, knives or corkscrews, our facilitators will give instruction on how to use them safely. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that the children attending with them follow this guidance and to ensure that their children do not start activities until guidance has been given.

The event may involve activities using natural materials for play and games, such as nettles, sticks, mud and rocks. You may come into contact with wildlife, including biting insects and dogs. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that the children attending with them use materials and interact with wildlife safely and bring any precautions such as insect repellent with them.

In booking this ticket the parent/guardian accepts all risks in participating in the event.

Weather and cancellations

The event will run whatever the weather except high winds and storms.  If we need to cancel the event due to weather you will be contacted at least an hour and a half prior to the start time of the event.

Event fees are non refundable, however if you are unable to attend an event you have already paid for, your place can be transferred to someone else providing the event is suitable for them. Or you can transfer your place onto a future event (at the same price or pay the difference). Transfers must be taken within 6 months.
