This walk passes through Dormansland village, situated near to Dry Hill – a settlement dating from 500B.C. We will be walking part of the Tandridge border path and the Vanguard Way, passing through woodlands, fields and likely to see bees and butterflies, kites and maybe swifts, returning to the UK. We will stop for a packed lunch near an Iron Age hill fort, then continue back to Dormans station.
Please note! This walk is longer than our average walks so please be punctual and try not to plan anything afterwards.
This walk is hilly in parts and therefore good mobility and fitness is necessary. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility issues.
We recommend bringing lunch and 1ltr of water with you.
Please wear sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes) and dress appropriately for the weather.
Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm (times are approximate, we strongly suggest not making arrangements close to the end time)
Distance: This is a 8.5 mile/13.5km (approx.) hike
