Wild in the City is excited to announce our Hike for Health project, which is running as part of Thrive LDN’s Right to Thrive initiative.
With the COVID-19 pandemic and the rising cost of living, many of us continue to face challenging times. The Hike for Health project will support the resilience of people from racialised minorities to address the impact of these stressful life challenges.
We can often get stuck indoors as the cold sets in and the evenings shorten but evidence shows that spending time in nature can make a difference. Walking in nature increases energy, improves sleep, boosts mood and lowers stress, depression and anxiety – benefiting physical and mental health, which helps to build resilience. So join us as we Hike for Health.
The Hike for Health project is offering 10 hikes in the countryside within and beyond London throughout February, March and April. All of our hikes are led by experienced Nature Guides, who are people of colour. Come along as we explore our natural environment, connect with others and discover new places near and far, build community and make friends.
The 10 walks which form the Hike for Heath project are free, sign up and join in.
All hikes will start at 10.30am.
We look forward to welcoming you along.
