We suggest not making arrangements close to the end time) \nJoin us for a relaxed ramble through Thorndon Country Park as we coax Spring out of hiding. One of the nicest green spots in Essex\, this park is the perfect mix of fresh air\, woodland\, and a few Muntjac and Fallow deer along the way. Thorndon Hall once anchored a grand deer park and the surrounding ancient woodlands still hint at centuries of stories. We’ll stroll past old oaks\, open meadows\, and peaceful trails as we try to spot a few early signs of Spring.\n\nPlease dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear – in light of recent wet weather we encourage you to bring waterproofs to keep you warm and dry. We suggest not making arrangements close to the end time) \nJoin Wild in the City for a relaxed walk through Sandwell Valley Country Park. This circular walk begins and ends at RSPB Sandwell Valley\, taking us through the nature reserve and woodlands via several pools and lakes and visiting the remains of the historic Benedictine priory. We’ll explore the heathland that the Sandwell area gets its name from and have plenty of opportunities to take in the early signs of spring and spot an array of waterfowl. \nThis walk will be mostly flat\, following mainly paved routes and well-maintained paths. Some of the paths may be muddy after wet weather. \nPlease dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear – we encourage you to bring waterproofs to keep you warm and dry. We recommend bringing a minimum of 1ltr of water and a packed lunch with you. \nThis walk is accessible by bus from Birmingham City Centre (route 16/16A). There is a small car park close to the start of the walk.
