Hike: Happy Valley

Enjoy a hike through London’s countryside with Wild in the City’s Nature Guides.

This is a free event in celebration of London becoming the world’s first National Park City, enjoy some of the greener, wilder parts of the capital.

This 4 hr walk takes in the stunning views of  Happy Valley and Farthing Downs. We’ll see an array of wildlife which thrives in these special chalk grassland areas. We’ll have a rest break at a beautiful country pub.

This wonderful area has recently become a National Nature Reserve called the South London Downs.

A good level of fitness is needed to join this walk. The total walk will take approximately 3.5 hours, plus a 30 minute break at a pub. This routes includes some steep inclines as it cuts across valleys, it is not suitable for someone with mobility issues. It will be dark towards the end of the walk, bring a torch/head torch if you have one.

Please wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. We recommend bringing 1ltr of water with you.

Time: 18.00 – 22.00 (times are approximate we suggest not making arrangements close to the end time)
