Natural Health Service

Natural Health Service-RGB-10cmThe Natural Health Service provides and promotes [engagement with nature] activity in green spaces to support emotional, physical and social health.

Everyone is welcome! Come to get fit, have fun and make friends.  You can also be referred by your GP through a social prescription.

The Natural Health Service is running a month long pilot programme in September 2017, come and find out more; have a go, have a chat, be inspired.  We’ll be in South Norwood Country Park on Saturday 9th September, 1-4pm, opposite the visitors centre.

 


Into the Wild

Cooking potInto the Wild is a 4 week woodland based personal development programme for young people 16 – 25 years.

Immersed in a woodland setting young people learn how to feel at home in nature developing bushcraft and conservation skills, as well as having reflection time around the campfire.

Combining psychotherapeutic, anthropological and ecological exploration, this programme provides nature based experiential learning in London’s wild spaces.

Our next programme will start in September 2017, places are FREE, please contact us if you would like to join us or refer a young person.


Netwalking

NetwalkingOur monthly Netwalks help local business people network in nature, making connections and supporting wellbeing.

Combining networking and walking, local professionals can get to know each other whilst enjoying the health benefits of being in nature and a light stroll around our beautiful local parks.

Our next Netwalk is on Friday 8th September, it is FREE to attend.

 


Nature Connectors

Wild in the City team.smallWe will be providing training to a team of community volunteers from BME backgrounds who will encourage others to be active through walking in green spaces.  The walks will be designed to introduce people who are new to spending time in nature to the outdoors and learning about wildlife. We will give the volunteers the tools to be able to engage people in green spaces.  Our training will focus on leading walks, befriending and nature awareness.  The training sessions will be delivered in parks and woods, running in a weekly series of 6 day sessions. Our next programme starts on 22 September 2017, places are FREE.
