Community Woodland Workday, 17th Sept

£0.00

Come and join us to help to maintain the woodland at South Norwood Lake.  This pocket of woodland is a remnant of the Great Northwood, which used to run from Deptford to Selhurst.

We’ll be doing some conservation tasks such as clearing the pathways of brambles to make access easier, litter picking, bio blitzing to discover which species are living in the woods and creating an inventory of the plant species in the woodland.

Gloves and tools will be provided, please dress to be comfortable for the weather and for being around thorny plants – we recommend long sleeves and trousers and sturdy footwear.

Those who are attending the bushcraft workshop in the afternoon are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat at our basecamp between sessions.

11.00am – 1.00pm

Meeting South Norwood Lake grounds, at the park entrance off Auckland Road at the junction with Cypress Road

The walk is part of the Natural Health Service programme
